On February 27, 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan issued Resolution No. 66, introducing amendments to technical regulations governing electronic and radio products in the country.
The update revises Resolution No. 517, which regulates the restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS) in electrical and radio-electronic products. One of the main changes is the extension of the transition period for compliance from six months to eighteen months.
This additional timeframe provides manufacturers with greater flexibility to adapt their supply chains, materials, and product designs to meet Uzbekistan’s hazardous substance limits.
The new requirements will become fully enforceable on February 27, 2027.
