Mexico’s New Telecommunications Regulator Announces Temporary Suspension of Procedural Deadlines

The Plenary of Mexico’s newly established Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (Comisión Reguladora de Telecomunicaciones – CRT) has issued an official resolution temporarily suspending all procedural deadlines, services, and processes under its jurisdiction.

This measure aims to ensure legal certainty during the transition period following the recent integration of the CRT, which has assumed the functions previously managed by the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT).

Suspension Period: All procedural deadlines and terms are officially suspended from November 7 to November 14, 2025.

Document Reception: The CRT’s Official Parts Office (Oficialía de Partes) will continue to receive documents as usual during regular business days and hours.

Validity of Actions: Any actions or proceedings carried out during the suspension period will remain legally valid.
