India’s National Centre for Communication Security (NCCS) issued a notification on January 15, 2026, requiring Telecom Security Testing Laboratories (TSTLs) to provide applicants with the corresponding security test reports. The documentation must include all observations, identified non-conformities, and remarks recorded throughout the testing process, strengthening transparency within the security evaluation framework.

Why it matters
For manufacturers, the requirement improves visibility into testing outcomes, supporting faster identification of compliance gaps, more efficient corrective actions, and potentially shorter approval timelines. Companies pursuing certification in India should reinforce coordination with accredited TSTLs and prepare for deeper technical review cycles as part of evolving regulatory expectations.
