Chile is implementing a new regulatory change that will take effect in February 2026, under Resolution Exenta No. 737/2025 issued by the Subsecretaría de Telecomunicaciones (SUBTEL). This new rule eliminates, for most short-range devices (such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, and RFID), the need for traditional formal approval and replaces it with a mandatory digital compliance system using a QR code on the product.
The label must link to the declaration of conformity, test reports, and technical specifications, all accessible online, enabling real-time oversight and enforcement.
