The Regulatory Authority (RA) of Bermuda issued a public notice on October, 2025, reminding importers of electronic communications network equipment and radiofrequency (RF) devices that type approval from the RA is required before such equipment can be imported, marketed, sold, or operated within Bermuda.
Devices must comply with FCC, ISED, or ETSI standards — and the corresponding test reports can be used to support the RA type approval process.
The Authority warns that non-compliance may lead to fines, penalties, or destruction of non-compliant equipment. Importers are strongly encouraged to review their current and upcoming product portfolios to ensure full regulatory compliance.
