Argentina is updating its telecommunications framework with new rules to expand private networks, improve spectrum use, and strengthen national connectivity.
The 2.3–2.4 GHz band has been allocated for private 4G/5G networks, allowing companies to deploy their own systems under 10-year renewable SPIBA licenses. A new spectrum fee calculation method brings more transparency to pricing.
The government also enacted a General Regulation of Satellite Management and Services to simplify authorization and oversight processes, and revised the Universal Service Fund to better finance ICT and broadband projects in underserved areas.
These measures aim to foster investment, innovation, and digital inclusion across Argentina’s telecom sector.
