Argentina’s National Communications Agency (ENACOM) has introduced a new regulation allocating spectrum for private industrial networks. The Private Wireless Broadband System (SPIBA) will allow sectors such as mining, agribusiness, oil & gas, logistics, and manufacturing to deploy their own private 4G/5G networks within their facilities.

📌 Key Highlights:

  • Spectrum: 2300–2400 MHz, divided into 10 MHz blocks.
  • Deployment models: SPIBA Interior (indoor – factories, warehouses) and SPIBA General (outdoor – ports, mining, oil fields).
  • Features: high capacity, low latency, IoT and automation support, exclusive non-commercial use.
  • Licensing: 10-year renewable terms, with spectrum assignment via direct requests, public processes, or case-specific allocations.

🎯 Impact: This measure strengthens operational autonomy, data security, and technological efficiency, driving digital transformation in Argentina’s key industries.
